Program of Environment and Agroecology

 

Objectives

The families in the territory right now attended by La Cuculmeca produce, consume and commercialise healthy alimentation making a rational and sustainable use of the environment and natural resources.

Expected results1.1
The producing families implement the Plan of Sustainable Use (Plan de Manejo Sostenible [PMS]) of their Family Production Unit (Unidad de Producción Familiar [UPF]).
  • Indicator 1.1.1.
    600 families elaborate, execute and evaluate periodically the PMS of their UPF during a period of 3 month.
  • Indicator 1.1.2.
    50 families that live in Protected Areas elaborate, execute and evaluate periodically the PMS of their UPF during a period of 3 month.
  • Indicator 1.1.3.
    80% of the producing families adopt at least 3 agro ecologic practices in their UPF
Expected Results 1.2.
Producing families integrate in their consumption the products introduced by La Cuculmeca.
  • Indicator 1.2.1.
    50% of the producing families include at least one new product in their diet on a regular basis.
Expected Results 1.3.
Strengthening the marketing capacities of the producing families.
  • Indicator 1.3.1.
    Strengthening the capacities of 50% of the producing families in negations, handling of commercial relations.
  • Indicator 1.3.2.
    In each territory attended by La Cuculmeca exists a support organization for the storing and marketing of the produced goods.
Expected Results 1.4.
The families that live in the communities attended by La Cuculmeca assume greater responsibilities in the protection, care and conservation of the environment.
  • Indicator 1.4.1.
    Children, adolescents, adults and communal leaders of 70% of the communities attended by La Cuculmeca elaborate, execute and evaluate in cooperation their communal environmental plans.

    a) Guideline.
    b) Intermediate evaluation after three years.
    c) Documents of the plans of the UPF handling.
    d) Documents of the annual evaluation of the UPF handling plans.
    e) Documents of comunal environmental plans.
Our Strategies
    a) Promoting the rational use of natural resources.
    b) Capitalizing the families and their productive units.
    c) Training and accompanying their processes of organization, production and commercialisation.

We didn’t include the communities of El Cuá y Bocay attended by the program of FondeAgro because of their dispersion and the insecurity if a continuous supervision and support could be guaranteed.
